1969 CHEVY CAMARO UPDATE

As you know, we’ve been following the progress of Darryl Redd’s 1969 Chevy Camaro. After an impressive Dyno test (see results: https://youtu.be/70sO2SQzKH0) it’s time to focus on the details which means wiring, hoses, headers and more.Here are a couple of pictures of the AC wiring harness which is getting connected to all the other wiring in the car, fuel lines, hoses and mid-length headers. This month’s employee spotlight focuses on the founder of the company and co-owner Kevin Redd. Kevin, along with his brother Randy, grew up around cars his entire life working at his parents Amoco station washing windows and pumping gas before he could even drive. When Kevin started having ideas for parts of his own, he enrolled at Lanier Tech to study machining so he could learn to make his ideas a reality. Employee Spotlight: Randy Redd

Concept One co-owner Randy Redd is a mechanical engineer and has been designing all the pulley systems and other parts for Concept One since starting the company with his brother Kevin in 2001. After graduating with a BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology with a Manufacturing Option, from Southern College of Technology (now Kennesaw State University) in 1995 Randy came back to Cumming to work in the family business. After years of working in the restoration business with their dad Kevin and Randy knew there was a market for making parts for hot rods and muscle cars. Introducing, a new project car that we are keeping tabs on….the 1969 Chevy Camaro being done by none other than Darryl Redd. That name might sound familiar because he’s the father of Concept One Pulley System’s co-founders, Kevin and Randy Redd. Darryl has been around cars his whole life. In 1980 when his boys were still young, the family owned a full-service Amoco station in Cumming, Georgia. Kevin and Randy were pumping gas before they could drive a car. The station eventually turned into a Goodyear Tire & Service and in 1991 Darryl and his wife Jean opened American Classics Restoration, specializing in Corvettes.
