LS MAX 10R Magnuson TVS2300 Application Info

Magnuson Supercharger

This kit is designed only for Magnuson Camaro offset LS3 supercharger part number 01-23-60-171 and Universal kit part number 05-00-23-033. Supercharger systems vary widely, so this pulley system is only compatible with the superchargers listed.

The supercharger pulley for this kit is provided by Concept One.

Interference Notes

We work very hard designing our products to avoid any clearance issues that can hinder installation. However, occasionally there are things beyond our control that may need to be modified to provide the necessary clearances to insure a successful installation.

Supercharger Model:

Magnuson TVS2300 - P/N 01-23-60-171 (see clearance issue for P/N 05-00-23-033 below)

Clearance Issue / Solution:

This supercharger ships with a short bearing support and a spacer that must be removed and replaced with a long bearing support (Magnuson P/N 65-12-57-000-BL) to allow the Concept ONE supercharger pulley to sweep back toward the supercharger.

The long bearing support also requires a larger bearing (P/N 55-00-62-204).

Bearing support replacement procedure:

Shaft will most likely have to be removed from the supercharger to perform this procedure.

To replace the short bearing support, you must remove the pulley flange from the shaft using a suitable puller.

With flange removed, bearing support can be removed from the shaft.  Now the small bearing can be pressed off and the larger bearing pressed on.

Install the bearing support over the bearing.

Flange must now be pressed back onto the shaft.

Supercharger Model:

Magnuson TVS2300 - P/N 05-00-23-033

Clearance Issue:

Interference between cast boss on supercharger bearing support and the 10-rib Max10R supercharger belt

Solution:
Grind or otherwise remove approximately 7/8” from the cast boss shown in Figure 1.

Figure 2 shows the supercharger bearing support with the cast boss ground for clearance.

Make sure the 10-rib Max10R supercharger belt clears the boss.

This procedure it can be performed with the supercharger in the car.
